In celebration of AAPI Month, Diverso has assembled a virtual panel with Academy Award-nominated writer, director, and playwright Celine Song (Past Lives).

Celine Song is a multifaceted creator with credits spanning off-Broadway plays to A24 produced films. Born in South Korea, Song moved to Ontario, Canada at the age of 12. She studied at Queens University (BA) and Columbia University (MFA). Her work challenges stases and propels narratives that are frequently overlooked.

Isle Child

Thomas Percy Kim, a former Diverso fellow, debuted his film Isle Child at this year’s San Fransisco International Film Fest!

Starring Ethan Hwang (Riceboy Sleeps), Ben Wang (Karate Kid: Legends), and EP'd by Jim Cummings (Thunder Road), this is an enormous win for us, as Thomas was one of the very first Fellows we welcomed into our programming. Through achievements like Diverso’s shepherding of Isle Child, we continue to see the ripple effects of our dedicated organization.
